What is NEET UG 2026?

NEET (UG) 2026 is a uniform entrance examination for undergraduate medical courses in India. Since 2020, NEET has been compulsory for admission to AIIMS and JIPMER as well.

The exam is conducted once a year, in offline (pen & paper) mode, and evaluates students on Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Important Instructions for NEET UG 2026 Aspirants (Quick Guide)

The NEET UG 2026 application is completely online and must be submitted only through the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) at https://neet.nta.nic.in. No offline or manual applications will be accepted under any circumstances.

Candidates must ensure that personal details, category, and Aadhaar information are correct and match official documents. Corrections will be allowed only during the officially announced correction window. NEET UG 2026 will be conducted in pen and paper mode, in a single shift on a single day. The exam center, city, and question paper medium, once selected, cannot be changed later.

NTA may allot an examination center different from the candidate’s preferred city due to administrative or logistical reasons. No request for a change of examination center will be entertained. Qualifying for NEET UG 2026 does not guarantee admission. Admission depends on merit rank, eligibility, category, document verification, and seat availability during the counselling process.
