NEET UG 2026: NTA Issues Important Advisory on Aadhaar, Category & UDID Document Updation
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an official advisory for NEET (UG) 2026 aspirants, instructing candidates to update essential documents well in advance before filling the NEET UG 2026 application form. The advisory aims to avoid discrepancies, grievances, and rejection of applications at later stages.
Definite Success Classes (DSC) advises all NEET aspirants to strictly follow this notification to ensure a smooth and error-free registration and counselling process.
Why This Advisory Is Important
According to NTA, incorrect or outdated documents may create serious issues during:
- Online application submission
- Document verification
- Counselling and admission process
Candidates are therefore advised to complete all required document updates before the commencement of NEET UG 2026 registration.
Documents That Must Be Updated for NEET UG 2026
Aadhaar Card (Mandatory for All Candidates)
All candidates appearing for NEET UG 2026 must ensure that their Aadhaar Card is accurate, valid, and fully updated. The Aadhaar details must correctly reflect the candidate’s:
- Name
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- Photograph
- Address
- Biometric information (wherever applicable)
Any mismatch between Aadhaar details and the NEET application form may lead to verification issues. Candidates requiring corrections should follow UIDAI guidelines and complete updates well in advance.
UDID Card (For PwBD Candidates)
Candidates applying under the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) category must ensure that their UDID (Unique Disability ID) Card is valid, updated, and renewed wherever required. Failure to do so may result in complications during document verification or counselling.
Category Certificate (EWS / SC / ST / OBC-NCL)
Candidates claiming reservation under EWS, SC, ST, or OBC-NCL categories must ensure that their category certificate is valid and updated. Submission of outdated or invalid certificates may lead to rejection of reservation benefits during counselling.
NTA’s Advice to Aspirants
NTA has advised candidates to regularly visit the official NTA and NEET websites https://nta.ac.in/ for the latest updates, instructions, and notifications related to NEET UG 2026.
Important Note for NEET UG 2026 Aspirants
Aspirants are advised to carefully verify and update all required documents well in advance before applying for NEET UG 2026. Aadhaar details must match personal and academic records, and category or UDID certificates should be valid and up to date as per eligibility norms.
Timely completion of document updates will help candidates avoid discrepancies, application rejection, or issues during verification and counselling stages. Candidates are also advised to regularly check official NTA and NEET websites for further updates and instructions.
